According to verified reports, 15–18 passengers lost their lives, and several others were injured as the bus was buried under rocks and mud. The accident occurred following heavy rainfall, which loosened the hillside. Rescue operations were immediately initiated by the district administration, supported by NDRF teams and local volunteers.
